LOGISTICS / DISTRIBUTION MANAGER

We are seeking a reliable, experienced logistics manager to join our growing organization. In this position, you will coordinate product purchasing, warehousing, and distribution. You must have an accurate and precise attention to detail in order to manage daily operations, logistics personnel, and logistics systems.

Key Responsibilities 
• Schedule all product distribution
• Select carriers and third party services

• Negotiate third party carrier contracts and rates
• Coordinate all shipments for all locations

• Respond to shipping complaints, lost items, and damages

• Determine needs for expansion of routes and schedules

• Track and report shipment results

• Develop and manage logistics KPIs

• Develop and document standard operating procedures

• Analyze financial impact of logistics changes, routing, shipping modes, etc.

• Design, assess, and implement new strategies and initiatives

• Collaborate with other departments to integrate logistics with company processes

• Keep track of quality, quantity, stock levels, delivery times, transport costs and efficiency


Requirements
• Minimum of two years experience in supply chain, transportation, logistics, business, or related field

• Previous experience as a manager, supervisor, coordinator, or relevant position

• Experience in industry procedures, costs, and terms

• Well versed the E-commerce workflow

• Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite and or Google Business Suite
• A natural problem solver 
• Risk-averse, yet willing to take calculated risks based on data. 
• High attention to detail 
• Strong project management skills with ability to supervise multiple projects

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
